Ready to get emosh, TOTC fans? Then you’re in the right place.
Originally written for the character of Michael in Armistead Maupin’s early books, the letter also doubled up as the author’s own coming out letter to his parents.
In this new “featurette” video, we see the cast – including Elliot Page –reading from sections of Maupin’s letter making for some tear-jerking viewing…
The letter begins, “Dear Mama, I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to write. Every time I try to write to you and Papa, I realise I’m not saying the things that are in my heart.
“That would be okay if I loved you any less than I do, but you are still my parents and I am still your child.”
