In G Flip’s new music video, Big Ol’ Hammer, we see queer icons Shannon Beverage, Jacqueline Toboni and Kath Ebbs grooving around the Australian musician. This new queer anthem comes from their upcoming album, Dream Ride, set to release on 5 September.
We, of course, had to sit down with “Butch Springsteen” themself for our August/September issue, which is also DIVA’s first-ever butch issue. They spoke to staff writer Ella Gauci about all things music, queer joy and their relationship with Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause.
Our butch issue is available to buy from 25 July. Here’s a teaser for what G Flip had to say on…
Their relationship with Chrishell: “[It’s] an open book.”
What’s next for them: “I want to play more festivals in the UK. I want to do a late night show too. There’s so much to do.”
Queer joy: “Now more than ever, the queer community is coming together, which is so beautiful in such a horrible landscape of what’s going on in the world.”
