DIVA-favourite Abbi Jacobson is best known for Broad City and the Prime Video reimagining of A League Of Their Own. She also has an impressive resume when it comes to voice-acting (Disenchanted, The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy and BoJack Horseman). And now, she’s voicing a wonderfully queer character on Netflix’s upcoming animated series Long Story Short, out 22 August.
In our August/September issue, Abbi spoke to deputy editor Nic Crosara about her acting roles, her wife Jodi Balfour and diversifying the industry.
Our August/September issue is available to buy from 25 July. Here’s a teaser for what Abbi had to say on…
Her character in Long Story Short: “I love getting to play a nuanced, complicated, full queer character. She’s just a really funny, messy character who happens to be queer.”
Married life: “I feel so lucky just to be in a relationship with Jodi and to have found each other.”
The A League Of Their Own fandom: “It means so much to me, and I know it means so much to everyone who made it, that it had such an impact.”
