The Traitors castle just got a whole lot gayer with the latest cast announcement for the celebrity version of the hit show, set to air in autumn this year. Clare Balding and Cat Burns will be joining a whole host of celebrities to play the LGBTQIA beloved show – but will they be a Traitor or a Faithful?

Hosted by none-other than queer icon Claudia Winkleman, The Traitors have captivated audiences for its campy theatrics and quote-worthy moments. Within the game, a handful of contestants are chosen as Traitors who “murder” castmates, known as the Faithfuls. If the Traitors can successfully conceal their identity, they could walk away with the entire cash prize.

For the celebrity version, stars are competing to take home £100,000 to donate to their chosen charity. This year’s cast is full of LGBTQIA icons aside from Clare and Cat, including comedians like Alan Carr and Stephen Fry as well as Olympian Tom Daley. Fierce LGBTQIA ally Paloma Faith will also be entering The Traitors’ castle.

The Traitors has been lauded in the past for its LGBTQIA representation, with sapphic winner Leanne Quigley speaking openly about how she plans to use the prize money for IVF and the wedding of her dreams.

Over the pond, The Traitors US celebrity version has already captured the hearts of LGBTQIA fans. With the incredible Alan Cumming as its host, the show has seen stars like Chrishell Stause and Bob the Drag Queen join in the fun.
