This Lesbian Visibility Week, a groundbreaking new podcast is set to debut, celebrating resilience, empowerment, and success. The 94% explores how lessons from sport – teamwork, discipline, and perseverance – shape the lives of women across industries. Hosted by Rachel Shelley (aka Helena Peabody in The L Word) and Nikki Symmons (former international hockey and cricket player), the podcast amplifies stories of women who “play to win” in life.
The first episode features Jennifer Beals, the iconic actress known for her roles in Flashdance and The L Word. Beals shares how sports shaped her journey, fostering resilience and leadership qualities that have guided her career both on-screen and off.
The launch of The 94% will take place during the Lesbian Visibility Week Celebration Event on Saturday 26 April, hosted at WeWork Waterloo in London. This event is proudly sponsored by myGwork and LSEG, in partnership with LBTQWomen, Pride in London, UK Black Pride, Lez Meet, Sanura Dance, Out & Wild, DIVA Magazine and WeWork.
