Are you looking for some new songs to get you on the dancefloor? Look no further than broadcaster, DJ, and producer Paris Munro’s new EP Just Wanted To Dance. Paris’ first release as a trans non-binary artist will be coming to your headphones on 21 March, ready to get your blood pumping and your feet thumping.

Just Wanted To Dance acts as a tribute to the universal love of movement, designed for the dancefloor and imbued with the “infectious power of house music”. Taking inspiration from dance legends like Fred Again and Lady Gaga, Paris’ latest endeavour is full of euphoria and groove.

Speaking on the title track, Paris said: “I created this track last year after a breakup. You know that moment you need to help pull you through the most difficult times in life, and you just need a light at the end of the tunnel, that little bit of hope that pulls you through heartbreaking moments? This was that for me, and I wanted to put this out there for anyone else needing that too.”

He continued: “Right now, I’m in a good place mentally and emotionally, and completely healed, so this can be a song for when you’re in a club and look at your mates with so much love, and feeling grateful for having them in your life. This also brings me so much euphoria too, now that I have come out of the other side of pain. It’s real, raw and even better if you lose yourself in the moment of this song.”

If you weren’t already excited enough, the new EP features a remix by dance music legends Beyond Chicago.

Paris has been on the voting academy for The Brit Awards and the Heavy Music Awards since 2021.

Just Wanted To Dance will be available for streaming and download on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Beatport, from Friday 21 March.
