Starring as computer whiz Taylah in Apple TV+’s new show Prime Target, Quintessa Swindell is adding yet another impressive title to their portfolio. Having starred in beloved LGBTQIA show Trinkets as well as huge blockbusters like DC’s Black Adam, Quintessa has become a very visible, very impressive non-binary icon for many.

We sat down with Quintessa to talk about those hacking scenes in Prime Target, the future of non-binary representation, and being queer in the industry. You can read the full interview in our February/March issue which you can order on divadirect.info.

For now, here’s a teaser of what they had to say…

On queer representation on screen: “I love in television and film when there is a massive spotlight on queerness but I also love when it’s subtle and not super obvious.”

On saying no to some projects: “When it comes to queerness there’s a strange perception of queerness that is deemed as universal.”

On what people should take from the show: “I would love for people who watch the show to think about how to show up for themselves or for the people around them.”
