Queer icon Susan Sarandon has recently revealed that she is single and is open to dating any gender.
In an interview with The Times, The Hunger star spoke candidly about her relationship status and what she’s looking for in a partner. Sarandon came out as bisexual in 2022 on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Speaking about what she wants in a potential partner, Sarandon told The Times: “It has to be somebody who has curiosity, a sense of humour, intelligence and [an] appetite for life.”
She continued: “God bless you if you manage to find somebody who fulfils any of those things, whether they’re younger, whether they’re older, whether they’re female or male, whether they’re gender-fluid, whatever. Those are just details.”
“I’m open to all ages, all colours. Those, for me, are just details. What I’m interested in is someone who wants to be adventuresome.”
For cat lovers at home, this news may excite you even more as the icon also stated that her future lover must be able to get on with her three feline friends at home.
Elsewhere in the interview, Sarandon also opened up about being dropped by her talent agency for comments she made at a pro-Palestine rally last year. She said: “There are so many people out of work right now… who have lost their jobs as custodians, as writers, as painters, as people working in the cafeteria, substitute teachers, who have been fired because they tweeted something, or liked a tweet, or asked for a ceasefire.”
