Summer may be nearly over, but that certainly hasn’t stopped the sapphics from releasing some of the hottest tracks we’ve seen all year. From Tinashe to beabadoobee, this month is packed full of exciting new releases from artists in every genre.
Take a look at some of the queer releases we’re excited to stream this month!
Yeah I Know – Zoe Konez
2 August
Zoe Konez writes and produces her own introspective brand of indie folk to process her feelings and place in the world. Her new single, Yeah I Know, is comforting and calm – a slow down amidst a capital city of chaos in an effort to settle a busy mind.
Kacey Musgraves – Deeper Well: Deeper into the Well
2 August
Queer icon Kacey Musgraves, a six-time Grammy-winning artist, is back with her new album Deeper Well. This album blends acoustic guitars, ethereal strings, and synths with her silvery vocals. Reflecting on life, love, and personal growth, Musgraves creates a deeply personal and relatable journey for listeners. Kacey became a queer icon when she released the song Follow Your Arrow, and has always been a firm ally to the community.
Maren Morris – Intermission
2 August
After coming out as bisexual earlier this year and announcing that she was leaving country music behind, fans have been waiting in anticipation for Maren Morris’ new album Intermission. While we don’t know too much about this new album, she has already released a track called Cut! which features Julia Michaels.
beabadoobee – This Is How Tomorrow Moves
16 August
Queer fan-favourite beabadoobee is back with a new album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, which explores self-acceptance and growth. Recorded at Shangri-La with Rick Rubin, it captures her evolution and resilience. Each track reflects her journey from the Philippines to being a British indie icon, showcasing her musical maturity and solidifying her status in the indie scene.
Tinashe – QUANTUM BABY
16 August
Bisexual star Tinashe has had the internet asking “Is somebody gonna match my freak?” ever since she dropped her new single Nasty. Her new album Quantum Baby is the second instalment of a planned album trilogy, following her 2023 album BB/Ang3l. We already can’t wait to hit the clubs when this comes out!
