Instead of New Year’s resolutions, I have planned to give my TikTok follow page a bit of a refresh. I want content that brings good energy and high spirits, giving me a bit of a switch up to the familiar faces I grew to love last year.
It is something I love about social media, the constant turnaround of new and exciting content creators who all bring different aspects to your page, to curate the perfect feed. I thought why not share with you a few of the amazing creators I have found along the way?
Emily Brogan (emilybrogann)
Emily is a femme lesbian who moved to England from Australia. Her most popular content is her talking about her opinions on the lesbian community “as a gay girly”. She speaks on topics such as the cons of being very femme-looking, a list of things she used to do when she was in the closet, and defining moments before coming out. She does all of this whilst usually preparing food which gives the videos a more relaxed ‘Facetime’ feel. She posts daily and is definitely the energy you need to get you through a gloomy January day.

Soph is a queer queen with her most viral TikTok’s consisting of a series where she imitates being a “TikTok Lesbian” doing all types of things from being in the airport or just waking up in the morning. The funny and relatable content is sure to get your belly hurting from laughter.
As well as making TikTok content Soph is also a comedian, and her skits are not one to miss. Watching her TikToks really is taking me back to the Vine era.

Icky (big_icky)
Icky is a trans female who transitioned in her early 20s. Her content mainly consists of relatable topics as well as giving people advice. She also does lots of TikToks with her femme boyfriend and shares aspects of their relationship. I’d recommend giving her a follow if you like watching laid-back unscripted reality, following along with someone navigating life. Icky also has a love for comic books and shares a lot of what she makes on her Instagram.

Sunny is a non-binary lesbian, their fashion sense is 10/10. They post a lot of fashion inspo and get-ready-with-me videos. If you’re looking for some more colourful fits for the spring I’m sure their content will help you out. Along with this, they post a lot of skit-type videos relating to their sexuality and gender. The mix between the relatable funny videos and the aesthetic fashion vibes will be giving your follow page a good variety of content.

She opened up as transitioning to female on the app not too long ago after identifying as non-binary. Her content now has bits of her taking you on the journey of transitioning. As well as content relating to how they struggled to announce their transitioning due to a lot of the comments always saying “you’re a girl” whilst she was defining herself as non-binary, and the pressures she felt due to this. Their videos are focused on makeup and fashion with little skits dotted about. The content is giving.
