Ever since it was announced that we’d be getting an onscreen adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s fabulously sapphic novel The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo, we’ve dream casting who we’d love to see take on the different iconic roles.
And when it comes to the casting of fictional movie star, Celia St. James, fans have had *a lot* of opinions. Anya Taylor-Joy (The Menu), Dianna Agron (Glee), Victoria Pedretti (The Haunting Of Fly Manor), Florence Pugh (Midsommar), Abigail Cowen (Fate: The Winx Saga) and Olivia Cooke (House Of The Dragon) have all been voted for by fans.
Over the years, fans have consistently pushed for the casting of Jessica Chastain (Interstellar). However the star recently shut down the internet speculation that she might play Celia. She told E! News that there is “zero possibility” of her starring in the project. She went on to describe her admiration for the fans saying that she “loves how excited” they are. “When I was working on Broadway, every single day, they’d be outside, when I was signing, with the books. I just love how wonderful that fan base is.”
She also added, “I look forward to watching it and I’m sorry to disappoint everyone out there!”
While there’s been no other casting confirmations, we’re very excited to hopefully get more updates soon.

The perfect Evelyn Hugo would be blonde w darl eyebrows, bilingual actress Alejandra Onieva who played Ane in Las Pelotaris 1926. She is the most stunning woman! And Celia St James could be played by her fellow High Seas costar who’s also played а lgbtq role and ginger Ivana Baquero!
