In a new interview with Empire magazine about their upcoming role in A Murder At The End Of The World Emma Corrin also teases fans with some new information about Deadpool. Having starred in the likes of The Crown and Lady Chatterley’s Lover, we cannot wait to see Emma join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While we’ve previously seen Emma don Princess Diana’s smile, this new role will see them play a villain. Emma told Empire: “I feel really excited to play a villain. I haven’t done that, and it’s an itch I want to scratch.”
Marvel has not revealed much information about Emma’s character, but we have no doubt that they will smash the role. If you’re not a huge Marvel fan, don’t worry. Neither was Emma.
“Hands up, I’m not a Marvel person,” Emma admitted. “I’ve watched Spider-Man and Black Panther. I was like, ‘Look, you’re gonna have to debrief me into this.’ It’s such an intricate world.”
They continued: “There’s so much to it, it’s an absolute mind-fuck. All the language and the Easter eggs, and this person is related to that person who did this, and this person came back and this person’s dead… it’s amazing.”
Deadpool 3 is set to hit cinemas on 3 May 2024 (this may be affected by the union strikes in Hollywood at the moment).
While we wait in anticipation for more information on Emma’s character, at least we get to enjoy their acting in their upcoming projects A Murder At The End Of The World and Nosferatu.
A Murder At The End Of The World is coming to Disney+ later this year.
Emma Corrin completed this interview prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
