The fall
Phwoar, this clip gives us goosebumps every time we watch it.
Even the official Barclays WSL Instagram reshared this fall. Aston Villa and Arsenal players, Maz Pacheco and Katie McCabe, fall over one another which results in an intimate exchange like no other. Maz pulls up Katie from the floor whilst they maintain intense eye contact. As they run back to position on the pitch they continue to grab each other’s shirts and holding hands.
The kiss
After Sweden defeated Canada in the 2019 Women’s world cup, Pernille Harder and Magdalena Eriksson shared a kiss. When a photographer snapped an image of the intimate moment, it blew up on the internet and the couple have since been celebrated for this powerful moment of visibility.
They are now both spearheading Play Proud, an initiative which aims to empower LGBTQIA youth in football.

The Lionesses keeping it cool
Recently the admin of the Lionesses Instagram gifted WLW football fans with this image of Leah Williamson, Keira Walsh, Georgia Stanway and Lotte Wubben-Moy in an Ice Bath.
Football lesbians everywhere went wild, with one account commenting on the post, “someone give the admin a raise for all this top tier content.”
Ideal daughter-in-law
When the Dutch/Arsenal player, Vivianne Miedema, was asked by a reporter if she was in a relationship with a “bad boy or ideal son-in-law”, she served the lesbian community with a golden response.
“Well its not an ideal son-in-law, but an ideal daughter-in-law.”
