Emma Corrin’s new role is a huge win for the queer community!

Yesterday it was announced that Emma Corrin has been cast as a villain in Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who will return to the Marvel universe as the well-loved character Wolverine.

Emma, who identifies as queer and non-binary, has delivered critically acclaimed performances in popular period dramas like The Crown, My Policeman, Lady Chatterley’s Lover and Orlando. This will be their first venture into the world of superheroes, but we have every faith that Emma will deliver.

Emma has been praised for their gleaming command and impish charm in the gender-fluid fantasy Orlando, currently on in the West End. No doubt they will be bringing some of this charisma to Deadpool 3, mixed in with some of the franchise’s signature violence and parody!

While we don’t know more about the role as of yet, we will be sure to keep all you DIVAs updated.
