Strictly Come Dancing fans, rejoice! Jayde and Karen’s journey isn’t over just yet. Bringing LGBTQIA representation to one of the most celebrated dancefloors on television, we were head over heels with joy when we first learned that comedian Jayde Adams would be competing this year.
Here’s what Jayde had to say about…
Body positivity…
“If Brian from Kent doesn’t like my thighs, I’m fine about that because I’ve got an Amazon Prime special and my thighs got me here”
Exploring her identity…
“I’m absolutely having the best time of my life working out who I am and having cheeky snogs with girls, boys, non-binary people, people who are trans”
Here’s what Karen had to say about…
Meeting Jayde for the first time…
“Once we met, it felt like we had known each other for the longest time. It was an instant connection”
Connecting with her sexiness…
“I’ve never really thought of myself as any kind of sexiness. The only time I actually come alive is when I’m on stage.”
