Six months ago Emeli Sandé came out by announcing that she’d found her “one for life”. Since then both she and her partner, classical pianist Yoana Karemova, have proudly shared photos together on Instagram that are filled with so much queer love. We love to see it!
Back in July, Emeli posted a snap of herself and Yoana captioned: “When I look in your eyes, feels like I’ve just seen heaven for the very first time 💜”
The couple have clearly shared a lot of happy memories. In one post earlier this year, Yoana wrote in the caption: “Another adventure with you 💗”
Today, Emeli posted a picture to Instagram of her seated in a car, positively beaming, on her hand a stunning engagement ring can be seen. She captioned the post “I said Yes! ❤️❤️”. That’s right DIVAs, Emeli Sandé is en-gay-ged 🎉
The comment section was instantly filled with congratulations and excitement, with Claire Sweeney and fellow musician Tayla Parx among those showering the happy couple with celebration. Everyone here at Team DIVA is sending love and congratulations to Emeli and Yoana.
