It’s that time of year again, DIVAs! Nominations for the coveted DIVA Awards are now open, recognising incredible LGBTQI women and non-binary people and their allies across business, the media, politics and sport.
Taking place on 29 April 2022 in conjunction with Lesbian Visibility Week, the DIVA Awards 2022 are set to be the biggest yet. The 2021 winners included Rose & Rosie, Rosie Jones, Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, Jack Monroe and many, many more, with the virtual event hosted by celesbian royalty Adele Roberts and Kate Holderness, featuring a star-studded performance from Heather Small. We can’t wait to be back in person.

LGBTQI women and non-binary people are thriving, and whilst there are still mountains to climb, the progress we’ve made is outstanding. We’re filmmakers, we’re politicians, we’re writers, musicians, artists. Being LGBTQI should never be an impediment: it should be celebratory. This is the message that the DIVA Awards embodies.
Nominations are open until February 2022, so there’s plenty of time to recognise your favourite LGBTQI trailblazers and allies alike. Categories span Corporate Ally, LGBTQI Network, Sports Star, Rising Star, Diversity Champion, Young Entrepreneur, Broadcaster, Wordsmith, Influencer, TV Programme, Unsung Hero, Brand, Film, Awesome Ally, and the oh-so-special DIVA Choice Award. The latter is down to Team DIVA to decide, so we’ll be putting our collective heads together to make the final call, but the rest? Entirely chosen by you!
After nominations close, submissions are taken to the judges panel for shortlisting. They’ll work their magic, and then the winners are decided by the public vote. Psst…that’s you!
So, if you’ve got someone in mind, go ahead! Don’t be shy. Nominations close 4 February.
