Santa baby, please bring me a renewal of my favourite show

With season two concluded in both the US and UK, fans had hoped that there would be a renewal announcement. We’re still waiting. The second season of the reboot has thrown us through an emotional rollercoaster and that cliffhanger had us on the edge of our seats. The writers certainly seem to know what fates await our favourite bunch of Californian queers. So why, oh why, hasn’t Showtime made an announcement?

Instead of chewing my nails waiting for the news to drop, I thought I’d look back on some of the best moments from season two. In no particular order, here they are.

🚨 Spoilers ahead 🚨

Finley the wedding crasher

Well, Finley certainly knows how to make an entrance. Hearts were broken, eyes were bruised and the messy love triangle intensified.

Shane’s canine friend

The biggest flaw of the second season was that Shane’s new doggo didn’t get nearly enough screen time. I hope that season three will remedy this.

This scene

I don’t think this one requires any explanation.

Every single scene with Gigi

I did not expect Gigi to become my joint first (more on that later) favourite character of the season. She’s always telling it how it is and I need more!

New relationships

Whilst we’re on Gigi, I also did not expect to ship these two so goddamn hard! The L Word dating history diagram just got more complex.

Awkward encounters

Speaking of new relationships, my gosh Micah and Maribel! I loved everything about their combined arcs. This show kept it real with this awkward kitchen scene.

Shane has a new dog AND a girlfriend

And a heart! I loved seeing a more vulnerable side to Shane this season.

Karaoke with the girls

This scene was gold. The performance. The friendship. The various reactions from the crowd. Need I say more?

Promposal

Angie was of course my other first fave of the season. Her arc warmed my heart and also made me ugly cry. Renew the show! Don’t make me weep again.

The cliffhanger

I mean, c’mon! There has to be a third season right? RIGHT?
