Ace Week runs from 24 – 31 October and Asexual Outreach has a jam-packed agenda of panels, socials and workshops taking place over the week. We thought we’d spotlight some of the many incredible events taking place.
The Birds and Bees Talk
Monday 25 October, 14:30 BST
This workshop will be presented by Durex and all funds raised will go towards the community work by Indian Aces.
Desexualizing Nudity
Tuesday 26 October, 9:30 BST
Attendees to this workshop will see a performance of vignettes followed by a discussion with Chulumanco-Mihlali on the politics of nudity.
Asexuality and Disability
Wednesday 27 October, 9:00 BST
This panel will be hosted by Aussie Ace Week and will focus on the intersection between disability and asexuality. Panelists will share their lived experiences and respond to questions.
Leading with Pride
Thursday 28 October, 14:30 BST
This workshop will be led by Dwight Cook and will help attendees to find their voices as a leader.
Discussion: Asexuality in Sex Ed and Educational Settings
Friday 29 October, 10:00 BST
This session will be led by Aussie Ace Week and will discuss asexuality when it comes to educational settings.
The Ace Couple
Saturday 30 October, 9:30 BST
This Q&A workshop will be led by Courtney and Royce also known as The Ace Couple. The pair will answer questions about asexuality and marriage.
Dance Party
Sunday 31 October, 13:30 GMT
For those looking for some queer joy, this one sounds great. Join in for a celebratory dance party. We can’t think of a better way to end the week!
