“They’re groundbreaking in multiple ways, but, you know, I’m leading the films. I’m a mixed-race person, I’m a woman and I’m playing a queer women. I have never seen a horror film that had a queer love story and such a beautiful one at that.”

“We had chemistry from the very beginning… I really hope that chemistry shines out on screen, because I really felt it while we were filming.”

“I’m playing this character who is willing to do anything for the woman that she loves. I can really relate in that way. I am straight and Deena is queer. That was my way in, because I know what it feels like to love someone and want to protect them”
