New seasons and new shows galore 📺

The promise of new TV shows has been an absolute lifeline this year. With Covid restrictions keeping us indoors for the most of the year, we’ve practically become best friends with the TV screen.
Even though the pandemic put many productions to a halt or delayed schedules, there’s still so much great TV lined up for 2021. Who even needs friends at this point?
Euphoria – Season Two
Back for round two, we can’t wait for new Euphoria next year. Luckily, we have a bridge episode, Trouble Don’t Last Always, to keep us company in the meantime. And there’s another one on the way in the New Year!
Hitmen – Season Two
Hitmen, the sitcom starring Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, is set to return for a second series. Mel said earlier this year: “We’re very excited, because Series Two has now been officially greenlit and we’re going to film, fingers crossed, in the new year, whenever it’s possible for us to do that.”
Feel Good – Season Two
News broke this month that acclaimed comedy drama Feel Good has been renewed for a second season, which will sadly bring the story of Mae and George to an end. We’re not crying, we swear.
The L Word: Generation Q – Season Two
2021 is already looking so much brighter with the news that season two of The L Word: Generation Q is on its way! It’s been confirmed that Rosie O’Donnell will be joining the cast to play Carrie, Tina’s fiancé, and all the OG cast are back for more love, heartbreak and shenanigans in L.A.
Veneno
Okay, so this one is technically out already but we’re hoping it becomes available in the UK next year. Veneno is a biographical drama about Cristina Ortiz, aka La Veneno — the most beloved transgender icon of the ’90s.
Conversations With Friends
Conversations With Friends is another adaptation from award-winning author Sally Rooney, following on the heels of the massive success that was Normal People. Coming to the BBC in 2021, the story follows best friends and ex-lovers as they become entangled with an alluring older couple. No cast members have been revealed just yet, but we’ll be sure to let you know when they are.
Sex Education – Season Three
After *that* cliffhanger, Sex Education practically had us begging for season three. Here’s hoping we find out the answer to all our questions and more in 2021 when season three is due to return after a delayed production schedule.
Work In Progress – Season Two
Created and written by Chicago improv mainstays Abby McEnany and Tim Mason and co-written by Lilly Wachowski (The Matrix), Work in Progress stars Abby as a fictionalised version of herself whose misfortune and despair unexpectedly lead her to a vibrantly transformative relationship. It’s seriously underrated but we loved season one and can’t wait for more.
Killing Eve – Season Four
Eve and Villanelle are set to return to our screens in 2021, with Sex Education creator Laura Neal on board to write the fourth season. Hopefully arriving around April, you’ve got plenty of time to catch up on the last three seasons.
Gentleman Jack – Season Two
Gentleman Jack fans will be pleased to hear that the second series is on its way. Filming has already begun, with filming happening in Yorkshire currently. Watch this space!
