Whether you’ve created a rainbow masterpiece or perfected some beautiful buns, we want to see your bakes 🍰

BY DIVA STAFF

DIVA magazine is launching a new fundraising online event, Bake With Pride, to support global LGBTQI charity, Kaleidoscope Trust.

Bake With Pride will take place over the weekend 6 -7 June. We need 200 DIVA bakers to get their mixing bowls out to take part and help raise £1000 for this vital charity.

All you need to do is bake a cake, post your pictures on our Bake With Pride Facebook Group and make a suggested donation of £5.

Our judges include celebrity chef and food writer Jonathan Phang, self declared cake goddess (she likes to eat it) Fiona Marshall and of course DIVA’s very own Linda Riley.

We will have a DIVA goody bag bundle for the winners in the following categories:

Best overall cake

Best pride themed cake

Best effort (for those that may not be bakers but had a go anyway!)

As well as making a donation, you can buy some themed merchandise to help with raising funds. 100% of profits will go to the Kaleidoscope Trust.

Kaleidoscope Trust, led by Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, works with parliamentarians, government ministers, officials and policy makers to try to effect real change in the lives of LGBTQI communities around the world.

With a base in the UK they urge the British government and Commonwealth stakeholders to use their influence in support of the rights of LGBTQI people.

Get the date in your diary and watch this space for some recipe ideas and tips over the next week! 🌈

Like many businesses, DIVA has been hit hard by the economic impact of coronavirus and we need your help to keep the presses rolling throughout the pandemic. Visit our PayPal fundraising page and give what you can. Your support means the world.
