Dedicated audiences are desperate to keep the LGBTQIA-inclusive show on our screens

Our Flag Means Death has been cancelled. The HBO Max show was unapologetically queer AF as we followed a diverse chosen family of swashbuckling pirates on their seafaring adventures. It also served up beautiful queer love stories. The second season provided what we had long been praying for: lesbian pirates!

The show has been praised for its representation of BIPOC and LGBTQIA characters

Look who’s back on the cover of our December/January issue, it’s the iconic Suranne Jones. We can think of no one better to see in the transition of 2023 into 2024 than this DIVA fave. Suranne talks to DIVA’s editor-in-chief, Roxy Bourdillon, all about playing queer (again) in Vigil, the Gentleman Jack fandom and more. You definitely don’t want to miss out on what the certified gay icon had to say.

The actor has slammed the streaming platform’s “embarrassing” decision to remove the sapphic fantasy show following its cancellation.
