The L Word Generation Q has been cut. Yes in a continuation of the cancel your gays trend, it seems that nothing is sacred, not even sapphic royalty like The L Word. There is a glimmer of hope: the potential promise of a New York based reboot, with original writer and producer Ilene Chaiken, bringing us a whole new flavour of dyke to obsess over. As exciting as this is, Gen Q’s cancellation still means we are saying goodbye to many beloved characters, some that first appeared on our screens 20 years ago.

This morning, fans of The L Word: Generation Q woke up to the news that there would be no further seasons of the show following a cancellation from Showtime.
