The final trailer for the highly anticipated The Devil Wears Prada 2 has dropped, giving fans a taste of Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep’s revivals of their iconic 2006 roles. But the exclusives didn’t stop there, as the teaser also debuted a snippet of Lady Gaga’s unreleased new track Runway, featuring rapper and queer icon Doechii.
Fans immediately recognised Gaga’s tone on the track, whilst Doechii also can be heard in the two-minute trailer. The sequel will premiere on 1 May.
Presumably named after Runway, the fictional magazine that the infamous Miranda Priestly (Streep) is editor-in-chief for, the song draws inspiration from the sounds of 90s house music and features camp lyrics that are fresh from the ballroom scene.
“Kiki, pose, sashay”, Doechii raps, whilst Gaga sings, “Work, I’m feeling fab. I’m feeling free, I feel exceptionally.” The chorus of the song combines their two voices, with “I can turn the dancefloor into a runway.” We’re sensing a new queer anthem is on the cards.
The upbeat bop seemingly sets the tone for the second instalment of the cult-classic, as the trailer shows Andy Sachs (Hathaway) navigating her life in the developing fashion world, echoed by Doechii’s lyrics of “serve a little sass with a little side of ass, let ‘em know I’m that girl.”
Rumours of Gaga’s involvement with the film have circulated on the internet for months, after the singer was spotted on set in Milan, back in October 2025. The fashion icon who has continuously been praised by the inspiration behind Miranda Priestly, Vogue’s Anna Wintour, seems to be the perfect fit for a cameo.
Runway is yet to have an official announcement date, but Gaga and Doechii fans can expect to hear the full track once the movie hits cinemas in May.
