We can’t wait to watch these two stars in Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma

It’s a great time to be a queer horror fan. We’re seeing a rise in lesbian, sapphic, queer and trans horror across different forms of media. Following streaming platform MUBI’s recent release of first look images of the upcoming sapphic slasher, Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma, it’s clear that queer fans have a lot to look forward to.
The film stars Gillian Anderson (The Abandons) and Hannah Einbinder (Hacks). The former has been many a DIVA’s gay awakening across the generations due to her range of iconic roles, and the latter has already cemented herself as a queer icon. We can’t wait to see them share a screen in this new film from director Jane Schoenbrun. Jane has already proven themself as a masterful director of queer horror as evidenced by the success of their 2024 feature I Saw The TV Glow.
In Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma, we follow Hannah’s character, an enthusiastic young director focused on reviving a stagnant slasher called Camp Miasma. She plans to track down the show’s original final girl (played by Gillian). Audiences will get to see the two women fall into a “blood-soaked world of desire, fear and delirium.”
The film’s cast also boasts many DIVA faves like Jack Haven (I Saw The TV Glow), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Yellowjackets), and Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets).
And we’ve got more great news. MUBI didn’t just release first look images, they also shared that she film is set to head to cinemas from 7 August 2026. Suffice to say, we will be seated.
