Ever since Katie Gavin, Naomi McPherson and Jo Maskin, aka MUNA, released their self-titled album four years ago, fans have been hungry for more. So you can imagine the excitement that was felt yesterday when the queer pop trio announced their upcoming album, Dancing On The Wall, and released the single and accompanying music video of the same name.

The track is MUNA at their best. It’s emotional, joyous and full of 80s vibes. DIVAs are sure to have it on repeat. It certainly has been here at DIVA HQ. You know it’s a good song when you can both shake your ass in the club to it as well as cry to it post-breakup.

The video is certainly a treat for the eyes as well as the ears. Fans have been sharing their delight in the comment section. Some of my favourite comments that I saw under the video were: “Therapists are going to be out of work after this mv”, “Jo really serving 90s action hero in the most lesbian way”, “Naomi topless after top surgery is a moment that brought tears to my eyes” and “one thing about muna is no matter how hot they were before they’ll always show up hotter”. Suffice to say, lesbians, sapphics and gender diverse folks around the world are clearly very happy with this new release.

MUNA’s album Dancing On The Wall is set to release on 8 May 2026. You can watch the new music video below
