As we approach Lesbian Visibility Week (LVW) 2026, it’s time to once again uplift and spotlight the voices of LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people. Our annual survey with Kantar, the people behind the world’s first inclusion index, will help us to better understand the key challenges facing our community around the world.

The DIVA Survey is more than just a platform for LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people to voice their experiences. The data collected is vital for informing policy change and the work of DIVA and our charity.

All information will be anonymised to protect your identity. Your answers will also be reported in aggregate form in our findings. In participating in this survey, you will be helping to shape organisational strategies, resources, and policies to better support LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people around the world.

The survey will be live here soon.

Our 2025 DIVA Survey was centred around the experiences of LGBTQIA+ parents and families from the UK, US, South Africa and India. Almost ⅓ of respondents said it’s hard to be an LGBTQIA+ parent where they live. In South Africa, more than a quarter of respondents said they felt unsafe in their own neighbourhoods. In the UK, 60% of respondents said that they had no LGBTQIA role models growing up, a harrowing reminder of the impact of Section 28, a UK law that prohibited local authorities from “promoting homosexuality.”

In 2024, we found that only 54% of trans people feel safe on social media. In total, only 16% of LGBTQIA+ respondents said they felt well-represented in brand content or advertising.
