2025 was jam-packed full of queer bangers! From Chappell Roan’s viral hits to Cat Burns’ new album, we were spoiled for choice when it came to LGBTQIA+ music. As we enter this new year, don’t be afraid. There are plenty of new albums for you to get excited about over the next 12 months. Here are six that you can add to your calendars now.

Cavetown – Running With Scissors

16 January

Trans and aro-ace indie rock superstar Cavetown is back with another album that will have us contemplating life. Running With Scissors will take Cavetown into a new era, and he hopes that his listeners will grow with him too. If you’re desperate to get a sneak peek into the vibe of this new album, check out this new track Rainbow Gal.

Madison Beer – Locket

16 January

Bisexual star Madison Beer is ready to drop her third studio album Locket this year. The pop princess has received acclaim in the past for tracks like Selfish and Make You Mine. Speaking about the album, Madison said: “After writing the album it feels like each song lives within this metaphorical locket for safe keeping. Each album feels like an era and once the albums are out in the world the chapter for me, usually with what I wrote about, is closed.”

Beverly Glenn-Copeland and Elizabeth Copeland – Laughter In Summer

6 February

Trans trailblazer and icon Beverly Glenn-Copeland will be releasing his new album Laughter In Summer. Made in collaboration with his wife Elizabeth, the album follows his diagnosis of dementia. The album is a love letter to life and each other, encouraging listeners to dance their way through this limited time we have on earth. It’s a reminder to continue on our path, no matter how hard the terrain may be.

Dream Nails – You Wish

6 February

British punk quartet Dream Nails push their riot-grrrl roots in new directions on their third album. Leaning into introspection, they step back from their politically charged beginnings and explore more intimate, experimental sounds and themes. The result is vulnerable, occasionally self-aware, and packed with raw emotion that hits hard.

Peaches – No Lube So Rude

20 February

Feminist and queer icon Peaches is back with another unapologetic album. No Lube So Rude exists in the intersection of the personal and political, and Peaches explores the quest for human rights in our increasingly terrifying world. Speaking to The Guardian about her track Not In Your Mouth None Of Your Business, Peaches said: “I’m especially talking about queer and mostly trans rights. The song’s like a mantra or chant, a way to empower people in only a few sentences.”

Art School Girlfriend – Lean In

11 March

Our favourite alt-pop visionary returns with another existential record poised to make you question everything. Art School Girlfriend’s new project meditates on the fragility of the world around us and the sheer luck of our existence. Each track captures the intensity of being alive and our yearning to find a moment of calm amid the chaos.
