Pride Matters in Tech (PMiT) will be hosting a special event exploring ageism through the lens of older LGBTQIA+ professionals on 20 November. Hosted by Hasan Shah from Equinix and Lee Israel from Colt Technology Services, this event will bring together powerful older LGBTQIA+ voices to discuss their experiences.

Attendees will hear from Nicola Fenton and Raga D’silva from the Older Queer Voices podcast about their lived experiences. In the UK, there are estimated to be around one million older LGBTQIA+ people, and yet their voices are often silenced, erased or forgotten. This event hopes to change the narrative, providing attendees with tips and tools to build a more inclusive future.

Taking place from 5 pm at EQUINIX offices, registration is free, but spaces are limited so secure your spot here. If you can’t make it in person but want to attend the chat virtually, register here.

PMiT is a community-driven initiative which aims to empower LGBTQIA+ people in the technology sector. Events like this help to drive inclusive, equitable practices across the industry, creating safe spaces for members while also driving for change. At this event, PMiT hopes to champion older voices and advocate for an end to ageism.
