From campy mysteries and messy rom-coms to supernatural chills and superhero satire, this month’s lineup celebrates the full spectrum of LGBTQIA+ stories. Whether you’re here for romance, representation, or just a little chaos, these releases promise plenty to keep queer audiences hooked.
Only Murders In The Building season five
5 September
Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez reunite with more zing, and new cast additions promise fresh queer subplots and new revelations in this Disney+ show. Expect campy mystery with that signature chosen-family vibe – equal parts witty, warm and queer-friendly.
Honey, Don’t (UK Release)
5 September
Margaret Qualley stars as detective Honey O’Donahue, who shares sizzling chemistry with Aubrey Plaza’s officer MG Falcone. This neo-noir queer B-movie blends lesbian subtext, femme-fatale energy, and campy satire.
Gen V season two
17 September
Back at Godolkin U, Jaz Sinclair’s hemokinetic Marie returns alongside London Thor and Derek Luh’s gender-shifting, non-binary Jordan Li. Their evolving queer relationship blends action and identity, reshaping the Supes school with representation and heart.
The Morning Show season four
17 September
Though Julianna Margulies (Laura) won’t return for season four, the show’s earlier seasons spotlighted a heartfelt queer arc: Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley coming out as bisexual and sharing a tender, complex romance with Laura Petersen, grappling with being outed and power dynamics.
Wayward
25 September
Created by Mae Martin (who also stars as Alex), this chilling Netflix miniseries deeply explores identity and belonging in the troubled-teen world. Alex’s journey hits home as he wrestles with authenticity and community in a sinister town setting.
