Bubbly, vibrant, and dynamic Alice Pieszecki can be best described as the “bicon” of the show. With her charm, wit, and cool personality, Alice stole the hearts of many fans of the show throughout the years. Here are some movies we recommend if you are looking for the high-spirited energy Alice brings to The L Word.

Go Fish (1994)

Written and directed by Rose Troche and co-written by Guinevere Turner, who both worked on The L Word, Go Fish premiered in 1994 at Sundance Film Festival and was later released during Pride Month of the same year. The film’s main character, Max (Guinevere Turner), is a young lesbian from Chicago who hasn’t had sex in 10 months. Her friends really want her to go out on a date. Her roommate is convinced to set her up with Ely (V.S. Brodie) even though Max is sure Ely is not her type. The film is not only a love story between the two, but it also explores the lives of young lesbians in the early 90s.

Bottoms (2023)

First premiered at South by Southwest, Bottoms is a raunchy comedy about two not so popular best friends PJ (Rachel Sennott) and Josie (Ayo Edebiri), who start a female self-defence club in their school in order to get close to and initially lose their virginities to their cheerleader crushes during their senior year in high school.

Tank Girl (1994)

Set after a decade-long global drought in 2033, this post-apocalyptic film revolves around Tank Girl (Lori Petty), also known as Rebecca Buck, as she tries to save a young girl named Sam and seek revenge against the people who killed her boyfriend with the help of Jet Girl (Naomi Watts). Tank Girl was loosely based on the comic book with the same title.

Girltrash: All Night Long (2014)

Tyler (Michelle Lombardo) and Daisy (Lisa Rieffel) are two friends who are trying to make it to a Battle Of The Bands concert while Daisy’s sister, Colby (Gabrielle Christian), joins them as she tries to hook up with her long-time crush. Filled with The L Word cast alumni, Girltrash: All Night Long is a musical comedy that follows five young lesbians in Los Angeles as they live a whole night filled with love, girl-fights, music, lust, and drugs.

Drive Away Dolls (2024)

Two friends, Marian (Geraldine Viswanathan) and Jamie (Margaret Qualley), head off to an unexpected road trip to Tallahassee after Jamie’s breakup with her girlfriend and Marian’s need to get out of her life. The plans of the two girls take a different turn when they meet a group of inept criminals.
