Munroe Bergdorf is a model, activist, author and one of the most influential trans voices in the UK. In her upcoming powerful new documentary, appropriately titled Love & Rage, viewers will get to see the highs and lows of Munroe’s life, career and activism.
The film is directed by Olivia Cappuccini and offers viewers an intimate portrait of the trailblazer that weaves together past and present. Through exploring the life lived by Munroe, the film sparks a universal conversation on identity, feminism, race and hope.
In the light of recent attacks on the trans community – especially trans women – it is a vital watch as we plan how best to fight and advocate for trans and queer futures.
So many individuals within the LGBTQIA community have been inspired by both Munroe’s strength and vulnerability over the years. People have carried the words that she’s said in interviews, or written in her books, and carried them close to their chests during hard times. And now, they’ll get to experience this through a new form of media.
Love & Rage will be distributed by Cinematik in the UK and released globally via Universal Pictures Home Entertainment later this year. Watch the trailer now.
