The lineup for Manchester Pride has officially dropped, and we’re more excited than ever. Following the buzz of the Mardi Gras launch, we knew something truly special was coming this year and they delivered. This year’s celebration promises a vibrant tapestry of LGBTQIA culture, with a spotlight on trans, non-binary, and queer local talent.

The Lineup offers some of the biggest names in the industry. Headlining the first day of
Mardi Gras is Leigh-Anne, part of one of the world’s biggest girl bands, Little Mix, and a solo artist with millions of streams. Joining her on Saturday will be the iconic Hollywood star, Billy Porter. Adding to the list of high-profile performers is chart-topping sensation Olly Alexander taking to the Mardi Gras stage on Sunday.

The Mardi Gras stage will be alive with the phenomenal talents of drag royalty Tayce, Jodie Harsh and Danny Beard is performing their acclaimed cabaret. The musical lineup continues to impress, with hitmakers Louisa Johnson, Sonique, and N-Trance. Special guests Tulisa and Big Freedia will also be adding to the incredible line-up.

But Mardi Gras is more than just a showcase for global superstars; it’s a celebration of the vibrant local LGBTQIA community. Manchester Pride is committed to providing a platform for diverse voices, featuring events like Kulture Cabaret, a powerful celebration of queer South Asian and Middle Eastern pride. House of MCR will bring their signature high-energy performances, and the Banksie Runway will spotlight the creativity of local queer fashion
designers. Mark Fletcher, CEO of Manchester Pride, emphasizes the importance of this: “With the introduction of the new Mardi Gras event we needed to make sure that we stayed true to what Pride is about in this city. Our communities were clear that they wanted to see LGBTQ+ performers front and centre and we’re thrilled to announce a line up which serves.”

While the excitement of the fresh new Mardi Gras, we can’t forget the highly anticipated return of the iconic Gay Village Party. Kicking off this beloved weekend celebration is the sensational Samantha Mumba, and then, keeping the party going will be legendary Sister Sledge and the B*Witched. With more acts still yet to be revealed.

Manchester Pride is set to have many stages across the city so no doubt there is something
for everyone. Staying true to its commitment to community support, the festival is actively
seeking local artists to perform. Interested performers can find more information and
apply here.

While we celebrate the fun and entertainment of Mardi Gras and the Gay Village Party, the core importance of Pride stays true. Running alongside the 10-day event, from Friday 15 to Monday 25 August, will be the Manchester Pride Parade, The Rally, Candlelit Vigil, Superbia, Family Pride MCR, and Youth Pride MCR. Tickets for Mardi Gras and the Gay village party go on sale March 18 and pre-sale March 17, available to buy here.
