As the prospect of festival season soon approaches, the release of the Glastonbury lineup has us dreaming of hot weather, muddy boots, and plenty of great music. Now, if you thought last year’s Glastonbury was a gorgeously queer spectacle, then this year is about to be even more sapphic. Glastonbury, one of the world’s biggest festivals, is elevating its commitment to LGBTQIA representation with a lineup of phenomenal acts and allies.
Doechii
Doechii’s rapid success has turned us all into devoted fans. The rapper and bi-con has been serving up iconic looks and incredible performances. And now she’s gracing Glastonbury with her presence. Another major achievement to cross off her list this year.
Jade
Making her Glastonbury debut is one of our most beloved allies – Jade. Fresh from her BRIT Award win as a solo artist, she’s set to command the Pyramid Stage, marking her biggest solo performance yet. We’re expecting nothing less than a breathtaking performance. With the Glastonbury announcement, could this mean a debut album is finally on the horizon?
Lucy Dacus
Sapphic fans will be thrilled to see Lucy Dacus, of boygenius fame, bring her “hot masc” energy to Glastonbury. This term, which she used in a TikTok casting call for her music video, perfectly captures the vibe we’re hoping for after the success of Best Guess.
Charli xcx
BRAT summer part two? Absolutely. After securing five BRIT Awards, Charli xcx is set to headline the Other Stage on Saturday night. Having steadily climbed the Glastonbury ladder, this performance marks a new peak in her journey. Get ready to embrace your inner 365 party girl.
Brandi Carlile
Brandi Carlile, a music legend and cherished queer icon, is finally making her Glastonbury debut. We’re still buzzing from the news of the Elton John collaborative album and now we’re ready to be captivated by her famous hits.
Wet Leg
Ahead of their summer tour, the indie rock band Wet Leg will return to Glastonbury this year. Get ready to sing along to Chaise Longue and other big hits from their acclaimed self-titled album, Wet Leg.
Beabadoobee
Be prepared to be captivated once again by bisexual indie artist Beabadoobee. We’ll be glued to her set, eagerly anticipating tracks from her recent album This Is How Tomorrow Moves. We can only hope she performs the sapphic favourite She Plays Bass.
ANOHNI and the Johnsons
After a 13-year hiatus, ANOHNI and the Johnsons have reunited, bringing their beautiful alt music to Glastonbury. The band’s name is a poignant tribute to trans activist Marsha P. Johnson, and a clear reference to the lead singer’s name, ANOHNI.
Self Esteem
Self Esteem, another bisexual icon on the lineup, returns to Glastonbury, and we’re ready to see her command the stage once again. Having seen her electrify the Glastonbury stage before, expectations are high for another unforgettable performance.
Greentea Peng
The London-born queer artist Greentea Peng will showcase her soulful vocals to the Glastonbury crowd, and we can’t wait. An advocate for the LGBTQIA community, she has actively supported many events and initiatives, including Queer Rave.
DIVA magazine celebrates 31 years in print in 2025. If you like what we do, then get behind LGBTQIA media and keep us going for another generation. Your support is invaluable.
