Best Guess features stars like Towa Bird and Cara Delevingne

Sapphics, it happened. Lucy Dacus has finally released the highly anticipated music video for her song Best Guess… and it’s full of gorgeous mascs. With stars like MUNA’s Naomi McPherson, Reneé Rapp’s girlfriend Towa Bird, and even Cara Delevingne, the video pretty much looks like every sapphic’s dream.
The self-directed music video aimed to emulate the iconic Calvin Klein ads of the 90s. We don’t even want to know the suit budget for the video.
Last month, Lucy created a mass frenzy by doing a casting call for “hot mascs” to feature in said video. With dozens of responses, fans were quick to spot that some of these TikTokers had actually made it into the video. Influencers like Christina Moreland, Gray DiSciascio, and Mattie Westbrouck all took part in making the iconic concept come to life.
Taken from her upcoming album Forever Is A Feeling, Lucy’s latest song, Best Guess, is already becoming a fan favourite amongst the sapphics. Combined with the video – which features all our favourite mascs arm-wrestling, playing darts, and dancing – it’s pretty much guaranteed to go down in the history books.
Fans have already shown their love, with one user commenting: “Can’t overstate enough how huge this is for the masc and butch lovers across this nation and beyond. We are so rarely fed, but today, we feast.”
Another wrote: “This is my Super Bowl.”
Last month, Lucy also wowed sapphics everywhere with the release of her swoon-worthy soong Ankles. Packed to the brim with queer desire, the music video starred Bottoms icon Havana Rose Liu as a security guard for a painting who just can’t keep herself in the frame.
Following Trump’s inauguration earlier this year, Lucy pledged to donate $10,000 towards trans’ people’s gender-affirming care.
