It’s one-quarter of the EGOT awards, the Oscars of music and the biggest night of the year for pop stars. Yes, that’s right, it’s the Grammys!

Last night, the biggest and brightest stars in music gathered in Los Angeles for the 67th Grammy Awards. There were some big wins for queer artists, including your favourite artist’s favourite artist, Chappell Roan, St Vincent and Doechii. Several allies also won, such as Kacey Musgraves, who has campaigned for LGBTQIA rights, and Alicia Keys, who used her acceptance speech to defend DEI policies currently under attack by the Trump Administration.

Here are the top queer wins from the Grammys 2025:

St Vincent wins three awards and thanks wife and daughter

The alternative music star was one of the biggest winners at this year’s ceremony. She took home three awards – Best Alternative Music Album (for All Born Screaming), Best Alternative Music Performance (Flea) and Best Rock Song (Broken Man).

While accepting Best Rock Song, St Vincent thanked her “beautiful family” including “my wife Leah and our beautiful daughter”. She shouted them out again when accepting the album award. These shoutouts were a surprise to fans, as the singer hadn’t spoken about a wife and child before. She told reporters “We’ve kept it under wraps.”

Best New Artist goes to Chappell Roan

It was the only one of the top four awards to go to a queer artist, but if it had to be one, we’d pick this! Chappell Roan had an incredible 2024 and it’s fitting that this was capped off with winning Best New Artist at the Grammys.

As always, the artist used her platform to deliver a powerful message. This time, she pledged to fight for better compensation and welfare for artists and demanded that the labels, who profit “millions of dollars off artists”, offer “a liveable wage and healthcare, especially to developing artists”.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars take Best Pop Duo

Bi star Lady Gaga took home a joint award with Bruno Mars for Die With A Smile. The song was released in August last year as a standalone single, but has since been revealed to be the lead track from Gaga’s upcoming album, MAYHEM.

The pair also performed a duet of California Dreamin’ together. The cover of The Mamas & The Papas’ song left audiences in tears, as it followed a heartbreaking video showing the devastation the recent wildfires left.

Miley Cyrus is part of the duo that wins Best Country Group Performance

As she was featured on Beyonce’s song II Most Wanted, Miley Cyrus was one of the winners of Best Country Duo/Group Performance. This was one of many awards for Beyonce, but the only one for Miley.

Doechii wins Best Rap Album

Alligator Bites Never Heal won rising star Doechii her first Grammy. She is only the third female artist to win this particular award. “This category was introduced in 1989, and two women have won,” she started, before correcting herself: “Three women have won – Lauryn Hill, Cardi B and Doechii.”
