As 2024 draws to a close, it’s safe to say that KStew pretty much took over this year. From her outstanding performance in the immediate sapphic classic Love Lies Bleeding to her raunchy jockstrap cover shoot which had everyone going wild, Kristen reminded us once again why she is a queer icon. If you’re already snuggled up watching the beloved Christmas film Happiest Season, here are some facts about KStew which might make you love her even more.
She’s a great musician as well as an actor
While we’re used to seeing Kristen on screen, did you know that she also sings and can play the guitar? If you watched her portrayal of Joan Jett in the 2010 film The Runaways you will already know this. She also has a soundproof room in her home where she can play the drums.
She learnt how to pole dance for a role
If you take anything away from this, know that Kristen Stewart will always go 100% for a role! In preparation for her character in the 2010 film Welcome To The Rileys, KStew actually learnt how to pole dance to embody her role as a stripper. The result led to a lot of bruises.
She loved a temporary tattoo while filming Clouds Of Sils Maria so much she got it done in real life
While filming the 2014 thriller, Kristen wore a temporary tattoo of a Picasso painting every day to set which was meant to represent her character’s past. She loved it so much that she actually got the tattoo done in real life after filming. “It’s part of Guernica, a Picasso painting that I saw when I was 18 in Madrid and it floored me. It was the first time I’ve ever responded to a piece of art like that,” she told The Independent.
She does her own stunts
She can sing, act, and also overcome her fear of riding horses. While filming the 2012 fantasy action film Snow White And The Huntsman, KStew revealed that she did most of her own stunts on set. She overcame her fear of horses and was able to pull off the terrifying tricks.
She likes Vegemite
Kristen’s mother was born in Australia, so it’s no real surprise that the star likes Vegemite. Although it’s a love-it-or-hate-it type of food, Kristen revealed that she enjoys the savoury spread.
