Charli XCX has been announced as the second headliner for LIDO festival, and her personally-curated lineup is nothing short of a sapphic’s dream. With queer icons like 070 Shake and The Japanese House performing on the Victoria Park stage on 14 June, we can already tell that this star-studded day will bring on a Brat summer revival.
The two-weekend LIDO festival is changing the game by getting their headliners to help choose the lineup for the day. As a result, crowds can expect to see a celebration of music that reflects the personal taste of their favourite acts.
Having taken off into the stratosphere of fame, Charli XCX has always been a staunch ally of the LGBTQIA community. Earlier this year she sent sapphics into a frenzy by releasing an ultra-gay version of her song Guess with none other than Billie Eilish. We’re still thinking about it.
LIDO have also announced their first headliner Jamie XX, who will be performing on the same day as his fellow collaborator and sapphic icon Romy. Known for her incredible DJ skills, Romy sent shockwaves into the queer community last year with the release of her debut album.

Presale for LIDO begins on Wednesday 27 November at 10 am GMT. General sale begins on Friday 29 November at 10 am GMT.
