Dame Kelly Holmes will be among the attendees at a very special screening of Life Of Riley at the Iris Prize Film Festival 2024 on 11 October. This screening will be followed by a Q&A hosted at Vue Cardiff.

Directed by filmmaker Jacquie Lawrence and produced by Fizz Milton, this new film covers the life of DIVA’s former Publisher Linda Riley from childhood to now, covering three continents and spanning across decades of activism within the LGBTQIA community. Life Of Riley moves between showcasing the activities of Lesbian Visibility Week 2023 and looking back at the last four decades of Linda’s life using archive footage. Audiences can see candid interviews with friends, family, and some frenemies to learn more about the LGBTQIA activist.

Loose Women regular Dame Kelly Holmes has previously credited Linda as being a support system who has helped her since her coming out. Kelly is also the Executive Producer for Iris award-winner Sara Harrak’s new short film, Solers United.

Life Of Riley director, Jacquie Lawrence, is thrilled that Dame Kelly will be onstage with Linda. She said: “They are the ultimate double act. They have lived very different lives but connect with each other in a profound and comedic way.”

DIVA magazine celebrates 30 years in print in 2024. If you like what we do, then get behind LGBTQIA media and keep us going for another generation. Your support is invaluable.
