I suppose you could say she’s left us guessing…

As expected, the internet was going crazy when Charli XCX released a version of her single Girl, so confusing with the legend Lorde just a few weeks ago. Charli had us all flustered again after teasing a hint on Instagram that her next collaboration will be with the icon Billie Eilish for her single Guess from the deluxe version of her new album, Brat.
The photo Charli posted shows, in black and white, two bodies with their heads cropped out with one dressed suspiciously in Billie Eilish’s trademark style. Wide-eyed fans even pointed out that the person in the photo is wearing the exact rings Billie wears in another photo she posted. As another fan noted, Billie is the only person who is currently pulling off wearing three pairs of boxers!
In true “Swiftie” investigative style, fans also found a clue based on the number 13: the text on the right side of the image Charli posted teases the featured artist with underscores, and the number of underscores (13) matches the number of characters in “Billie Eilish” (counting the space).
Billie recently visited the UK, Charli XCX‘s home country, to appear as a guest on BBC Radio 1 – could the two have met up to “work it out on the remix”, as Lorde would say?
Charli’s caption on this Instagram post teases that “Brat summer” is far from over.
Brat is Charli’s most popular album so far, already nominated for the Mercury Prize, and it wouldn’t be far-fetched to imagine her collaborating with Billie Eilish as both have recently been certified as queer icons.
There is also a fan theory that Charli will release a single with queer pop star, Chappell Roan, but all signs point to Billie on this one!
