Are you ready to learn some more about the Honey singer?

Kehlani gave us the sapphic anthem Honey quite some time before they came out as a lesbian in 2021 and then released their most recent Blue Water Road, which they described as an album that celebrates lesbian love stories and queerness.
We can’t wait to see what Kehlani does next – and while we eagerly wait for their next album to be released, here are seven things you might not have known about the RnB star…
They rose to fame as a member of the band Poplyfe, appearing on America’s Got Talent

Kehlani made their acting debut in the popular sequel of The L Word, The L Word: Generation Q
They played makeup artist Ivy, who is part of the main character of Alice’s glam squad.
They love surfing
Kehlani said “it hurts my heart” when they try to persuade someone they’re dating to try surfing with them, and the person refuses. Take notes, people!
They said they wouldn’t mind joining a “lesbian cult”
“If everybody’s really cute, and we all like the same s***, that might be fun!”
Like so many of us, they came out after reading the famous “Am I A Lesbian” masterdoc
The masterdoc explains the phenomenon of compulsory heterosexuality. Kehlani said: “After that, I was like ‘I’m a raging gay!’”
Kehlani has over 20 tattoos
Their tattoos include Coraline, Lauryn Hill, Frida Kahlo, Pulp Fiction characters Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega dancing, a sleeve of roses, a sunflower and a tattoo of their four-year-old daughter.
They previously were in a relationship with the rapper 070 Shake between 2021-22
The relationship reportedly inspired many of the songs on the Blue Water Road album.
