This new feature aims to bring the LGBTQIA community closer together by sharing queer media and stories
BY ELLA GAUCI,
Exciting news! Version 2 of Zoteria is here,
Zoteria now features a dynamic news feed from leading LGBTQIA publications, including Gay Times and DIVA, Zoteria is not just an app—it’s a powerful tool for empowerment and unity.
Developed through a collaborative effort by the Vodafone Foundation in conjunction with charitable organisations Galop and Stonewall, Zoteria stands as a platform specifically crafted to embolden the LGBTQIA community and its supporters in identifying and reporting hate incidents, both as victims and witnesses.
The app offers immediate access to specialised support services for affected individuals, encompassing crucial resources such as LGBTQIA guidance, mental health aid, and sexual health services. Moreover, Zoteria showcases localised LGBTQIA events, facilitating sustained community engagement, alongside curated uplifting news articles celebrating the LGBTQIA community.
Remember, using Zoteria to flag incidents is not a substitute for emergency services. Instead, the data collected will be anonymised, contributing to a more accurate understanding of LGBTQIA hate incidents across the UK. This valuable information will empower our partners to advocate for the community and drive meaningful social and policy change.
Don’t miss out on the positive impact you can make! Download Zoteria now: https://www.stonewall.org.uk/zoteria
Zoteria is available for immediate download on both Android and iPhone platforms, serving as a pivotal tool in fortifying the LGBTQIA community’s resilience and solidarity.
DIVA magazine will celebrate 30 years in print in 2024. If you like what we do, then get behind LGBTQIA media and keep us going for another generation. Your support is invaluable.
