Happy Friday DIVAs! You already know the drill – here are some of the hottest new queer releases that came out this week. We’ve got plenty of new music to get you through this chilly weekend.

FILM: Wish

Disney has come back with a new fantastical film Wish! With Ariana DeBose voicing the main character Asha, the story follows the tale of a magical land where wishes really do come true… but who decides which wish is worth making a reality?

MUSIC: Sarah Walk – My Body

Singer-songwriter Sarah Walk (she/they) has returned with a new fabulous single My Body. Wearing their heart on their sleeve, Sarah’s new track explores dysphoria and the realisations they had before having top surgery.

On this new track, Sarah said: “I see this song as the first meditation on the content yet to come; making this was kind of like turning on the engine before putting the car in drive.”

MUSIC: The Japanese House – ITEIAD Sessions

Queer-fave The Japanese House has just released a never-before-heard alternative live version of her second album In the End It Always Does. Including tracks like Boyhood and even a cover of ABBA’s Super Trouper, this is the perfect album to stream this weekend.

MUSIC: Anthony Lexa – Sleepy

Sex Education star Anthony Lexa is back with another bop! Mirroring Anthony’s experiences of insomnia, she describes it as being “the sexy older sister to my first single Early Nights”. The song moves between harsh electronic beats and more vulnerable moments to explore the feeling of being isolated at night.

“Sometimes no matter how early you get in bed, the last thing you want to be doing is sleeping.” We can relate, Anthony!
