DESCRIPTION:Join TRIBE on the 14 of February\, at KATAKATA Brixton for an evening of Black Queer & Trans artistry. TRIBE will screen “Tongues Untied” by Essex Hemphill\, a landmark film that explores the intersections of Blackness\, queerness\, and identity. \nThe night will feature poetry inspired by Essex Hemphill’s cadence and style. Celebrating queer sensuality as a powerful force for resistance. \nThrough poetry TRIBE will explore how desire and revolution intertwine. After the film\, TRIBE will open up space for community conversations\, deepening our collective understanding of sensuality’s role in our fight for liberation.
