SUMMARY:Neon Divine
DESCRIPTION:Written by Alexis Gregory. Performed by Kim Tatum (aka Mzz Kimberley) and Alexis Gregory. \nA new theatre piece presented as staged reading meets radio play. \nJust what is the connection between gay men and divas? Writer Brian Ward visits his favourite diva\, the reclusive Miss Larelle\, to find out. But Brain has a secret\, and Larelle has a past that she is not keen to delve into either. \nA new play about queerness\, art\, fame\, power\, status\, and what happens when our idols let us down. Neon Divine is a bold\, provocative\, savage\, and insightful new play. \nAlexis Gregory’s credits include ‘Riot Act’ (Crazy Coqs\, West End\, four UK tours\, currently online via Broadway on Demand)\, ‘FutureQueer’ (Kings Head Theatre)\, and ‘Sex/Crime’ (Soho Theatre / The Glory). \nKim Tatum’s credits include ‘I Threw It’ (Young Vic Theatre)\, ‘Queer Stories’ (Tower of London)\, and ‘Dead and Breathing’(Albany Theatre). \nPhoto by Steve Kraitt.
