SUMMARY:Queer and Trans Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Calling all of the LGBTQ+ community – this one is for you! \nJoin Tamsin for one of two weekly queer and trans yoga sessions. \nPricing: \nGeneral Admission £10 \nDiscounted tickets: \nQTIPOC (LGBTQ people of colour) £8 use code QTIPOC8 \nMinimum wage or claiming UC £6 use code YOGA6 \nAbout the class: \nThis class is the energising morning vinyasa flow class. This is a dynamic flowy class with an emphasis on connecting body movement with the breath. Perfect way to wake up the mind and body in the morning ready for the day ahead. Tamsin’s teaching style aims to be inclusive to all people whilst adopting a trauma-informed\, body acceptance approach. She believes in the healing power of connecting to nature through yoga and how this should be accessible to all of us! The class will include asana (yoga postures)\, pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation in order to adopt a true and full yoga experience. This class is suitable for all levels! \nWhy queer and trans specific yoga? \nTamsin says \n“I believe that yoga should be accessible to everybody and as a queer person of colour I understand the feeling of being othered in yoga/wellness/spiritual spaces. So\, I decided to become a yoga teacher with the aim of making yoga more accessible to communities that would not normally enter a yoga studio due to the cis/hetronormative nature of the western wellness world. Yoga has provided me with a great amount of healing and I hope to share this with others that may also benefit from the practice. Our community deserves to have a safe\, supportive and non-judgemental environment where we can allow ourselves to be vulnerable and explore this life changing practice! I would also love to see more sober queer events and spaces focused around improving our wellbeing!”

SUMMARY:Queer Edge Live
DESCRIPTION:Queer Edge provides inclusive safe spaces for London’s queer community\, irrespective of age\, gender or sexual orientation. \nThey have been throwing queer parties on the first Friday of every month\, filling the gap between a bar and a rave\, since Summer 2023. Through this experience they have been listening to the crowd’s feedback and identifying the wants of the community… \nFrom this\, the idea of QE LIVE was born; a new queer live entertainment night in Hackney Wick celebrating the talent of local queer artists\, whilst providing another cute hangout spot for the local queer community\, hosted at Nico’s Cocktail Bar on the riverside at Hackney Bridge. \nTo align with how they schedule their clubnights\, and to make it easy to remember\, QE LIVE will be on the same day every month; the last Wednesday\, designed as the perfect hump day\, mate and date spot. \nQueer Edge operates a pay-what-you-can admission system so everyone can afford to attend\, keeping inclusivity at the heart of what they do. That said\, they respectfully ask if donations for QE LIVE could please start from a tenner\, whilst capacity is much smaller than their regular events\, the line up much bigger. Whilst this remains less than half of your average live music ticket\, if it is too expensive please message them\, as accessibility remains one of the most important values to them. They also offer pay-it-forward tickets on their website for those who can or are feeling generous. \nSo bring your crew\, your energy and your true identity for some incredible live music and entertainment… QE Live is here to celebrate self-expression & freedom for both their artists and their crowd\, and they can not wait to see you now on the last Wednesday of every month (as well as the first Friday 😉) \nSlaying our stage this time\, will be:\n@officialexxicon\n@alexgibboncomedian\n@erinastraofficial\n@elisingsloud\n@iamtstarnay\n@amyallenpoet

This is a dynamic flowy class with an emphasis on connecting body movement with the breath. Perfect way to wake up the mind and body in the morning ready for the day ahead.

SUMMARY:Queer Edge
DESCRIPTION:Queer Edge is an East London queer collective\, providing inclusive spaces for the local queer community\, irrespective of age\, gender or sexuality. \nThey are a community-led project – a chosen family – passionate that everyone in their neighbourhood and LGBTQIA community feels the same sense of belonging and love. So they launched Queer Edge where they throw regular queer events including clubnights\, live music nights\, panel discussions\, and a queer coworking space. \nThis night is hosted at Two More Years\, as an evening affair\, 7pm-midnight. It fills the gap between a bar and a rave\, making it the perfect place to meet people within your local LGBTQIA community. \nQueer Edge operates a pay-what-you-can admission system – so everyone can afford to attend queer spaces\, keeping inclusivity at the heart of everything they do. For entrance to their evenings at Two More Years\, they ask if donations could kindly start from a fiver\, or whatever YOU think a night like this is worth 🙂 What is raised helps fund future Queer Edge events\, whilst also supporting their chosen LGBTQIA charities (see http://www.queeredge.co.uk/give)
