This is a dynamic flowy class with an emphasis on connecting body movement with the breath. Perfect way to wake up the mind and body in the morning ready for the day ahead. Tamsin’s teaching style aims to be inclusive to all people whilst adopting a trauma-informed\, body acceptance approach. She believes in the healing power of connecting to nature through yoga and how this should be accessible to all of us! The class will include asana (yoga postures)\, pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation in order to adopt a true and full yoga experience. This class is suitable for all levels! \nWhy queer and trans specific yoga? \nTamsin says \n“I believe that yoga should be accessible to everybody and as a queer person of colour I understand the feeling of being othered in yoga/wellness/spiritual spaces. So\, I decided to become a yoga teacher with the aim of making yoga more accessible to communities that would not normally enter a yoga studio due to the cis/hetronormative nature of the western wellness world. Yoga has provided me with a great amount of healing and I hope to share this with others that may also benefit from the practice. Our community deserves to have a safe\, supportive and non-judgemental environment where we can allow ourselves to be vulnerable and explore this life changing practice! I would also love to see more sober queer events and spaces focused around improving our wellbeing!”

SUMMARY:QE Easter Edition
DESCRIPTION:East London’s queer collective\, Queer Edge\, is set to host a brand new\, special edition at Hackney Wick’s iconic Colour Factory on Saturday 19th April\, bringing together innovators of the queer music scene – including Grace Sands\, pioneer of the free-party movement\, and JayJay Revlon\, pioneer of the London Ballroom scene. \nKnown for creating inclusive spaces – from club nights and live music to panel discussions\, community socials\, and a daily CoWorking space – Queer Edge has become a vital movement in London’s LGBTQIA cultural landscape. Their mission is to create spaces where age\, gender\, and sexuality are no barrier to belonging\, where you instead form real connection and love within the community. But this Easter weekend\, they’re taking things to the next level\, blending nightlife with innovation. \nThe line up: \n\nGrace Sands – pioneer of the UK’s free-party movement\, which was fundamental in shaping the dance culture that we get to enjoy today. Grace’s free-party movement made space for everyone\, welcoming people who were often marginalised by society\, which aligns perfectly with the values of Queer Edge\, to headline their Easter Edition.\nJayJay Revlon – pioneer and force behind London’s Ballroom scene\, and father of the House of Revlon\, JayJay plays a pivotal role in shaping the UK’s Ballroom community\, bringing voguing to life! JayJay is hosting a voguing workshop to start the night\, at 7pm\, in Colour Factory’s garden.\nEllie Prohan – Kiss FM radio host and DJ who forged her own path as a queer Middle Eastern woman.\nKaYa – DJ and owner of Affluenza Records\, KaYa is all about having fun\, high energy and underground blends.\nPerrinha – Perrinha’s sound is deeply rooted in 90s house music\, with a heavy influence of funky breaks and vocals drawn from early disco and hiphop.\nIncluding B2B sets from Andy Avery & Bradley Skeng\, Claude Knight & Noah Priddle\, and Nick Clev & Sam Beach.\n\nKicking off the night with a VOGUING WORKSHOP at 7pm\, followed by DJ sets until 2am\, this promises high energy\, big heart\, and a whole lot of queer joy.

SUMMARY:Queer and Trans Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Calling all of the LGBTQ+ community – this one is for you! \nJoin Tamsin for one of two weekly queer and trans yoga sessions. \nPricing: \nGeneral Admission £10 \nDiscounted tickets: \nQTIPOC (LGBTQ people of colour) £8 use code QTIPOC8 \nMinimum wage or claiming UC £6 use code YOGA6 \nAbout the class: \nThis class is the energising morning vinyasa flow class.

SUMMARY:Pride in Education: Supporting Safe Online Spaces for All
DESCRIPTION:In response to the recent changes to Meta’s Community Standards\, which now permit harmful rhetoric targeting LGBTIQA individuals\, women\, and other marginalised communities\, Pride in Education remain committed to supporting our diverse\, resilient\, and vibrant community. These policy shifts not only normalise hate but also pose a serious threat to the safety\, dignity\, and mental wellbeing of those who depend on online spaces for identify formation\, connection and support. \nAs part of Pride in Education’s ongoing efforts to combat this harmful shift\, they are hosting this free webinar Thriving Online as a Marginalised Person \nThis workshop will share a combination of strategies to highlight how the online landscape can still be used as an empowering space with the right amount of knowledge and safety in place. The workshop will cover the following areas: (a) utilising online spaces as accessible tools for community growth; (b) understanding algorithms and search histories\, including how to mitigate toxic feedback loops; (c) learning about reliability of information and sources; and (d) understanding ways of self-care in an increasingly digitised world. \n
