Lesbians, this is not a drill. Global superstar Doechii may have just come out as a lesbian. Eager-eyed fans were quick to spot that she added the word “lesbian” to the bio for her lifestyle account @gutsgritglamour.
The rapper and singer, who broke the internet with her album Alligator Bites Never Heal, has previously identified as bisexual. Fans have been screaming “I’m a real bi bitch” from her hit song NISSAN ALTIMA since 2024.
In an interview with Gay Times, Doechii spoke candidly about her sexuality: “I think I’ve always been gay. I always knew I was gay. I’m currently bisexual. I am with a woman now and I have always known that I loved women. I’ve been very, very aware from an early age.”
The new full bio of her lifestyle account reads: “home life • wellness • books/essays • clubbing • lesbian • luxury • travel • beauty • music • side quests • fashion • film”. The account’s aim was to “express Jaylah the human outside of Doechii the artist”.
Last year, Doechii took home two Grammys, including Best Rap Album, making her the third woman in history to receive the prestigious award.
Doechii has been sending sapphics feral ever since her rise to the top. Last year, she set the internet on fire when she gave Ayo Edebiri a spicy lap dance.
At the time of writing, Doechii has not commented on her decision to include the label “lesbian” in her bio and has turned her lifestyle account private.
