Yesterday, singer Cat Burns took to Instagram to share pictures of her in hospital following breast reduction surgery.
The singer and former Celebrity Traitor wrote that she had “always struggled” with her breasts, as they caused her “so much pain when exercising”. Cat also “deeply hated the sexualisation it brought”. Alternative routes, such as trying different bras, had brought no relief. Ultimately, Cat decided to undergo surgery.
In her post, Cat said that she wanted to do the surgery while she “was young and healthy and by the universe’s graces able to”. She added that the surgery would allow her to “love [her] body going into the next part of [her] life.”
“Today marks the start of my new life!” she wrote.

Cat had originally been unsure whether to share the personal news with her fans. She said: “I was going back and forth about whether I was gonna share this but I know I’ve built an understanding community of people.”
The star reassured fans that the surgery had gone well and that she is now recovering with her family and girlfriend around her. Cat said: “The surgery went really well.”
“Had a big fat cry once I saw mum, sisty and Sarah (joyful tears btw, the amount of relief and happiness I feel is overwhelming)”, she added.
Cat signed off by saying she was going to “watch Traitors now from [her] hospital bed and chill”.
Back in October, Cat appeared on the celebrity series of The Traitors, where she quickly became an audience favourite, beyond her loyal sapphic fanbase, for her ability to keep her cool amid rising tensions in the Castle.
On the show, Cat spoke candidly about having autism, highlighting it as one of her strengths in the game. She also released her second album, How To Be Human, during the same period.
